Educating both children and adults about the importance of animal welfare is something we feel strongly about. Teachers can get involved by inviting representatives from ECCHA to visit their classrooms and speak to students about responsible pet ownership, animal behavior and the importance of animal welfare. Teachers can also organize field trips to learn more about what we are doing to help animals in need. ECCHA conducts shelter tours between 10am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Tours outside of these hours can be scheduled by contacting our volunteer director. Your guided tour will include a walk-through of the facility, during which our visitors are shown the various areas where animals are housed, cared for and offered for adoption. This is a great opportunity to learn more about ECCHA’s mission, history and the many different programs we offer.
